Filming and photography
Filming and photography activities at the terminals of Cruise Gate Hamburg (HafenCity, Steinwerder, Altona) must be arranged through CGH’s Press Office in advance. You must obtain permission first; restrictions apply.
Please note: You must submit a filming application at least 48 hours in advance of your proposed shooting date. Please send your request to presse@cgh.hamburg.de
Filming and photography activities at our cruise terminals are generally permitted in the public areas only. Public areas are terminal buildings (area BEFORE people pass through the security checks), parking areas and access roads accessible to passengers and visitors. No charges apply to news coverage and documentaries. We hope that you understand and accept that we charge a fee for commercial productions and advertising. For filming and photography activities at the berth or onboard cruise ships, a second filming permit must be obtained from the respective shipping company.
For drone flights, you must submit a filming application to the Aviation Authority. More information is available at www.hamburg.de/bwvi/drohnen
Please note that the application must be processed manually by the Aviation Authority if the planned ascent height exceeds 50 m. Therefore, the application must be submitted to the Aviation Authority at least 14 calendar days before the planned date due to the processing time.
