Filming and photography activities at the terminals of Cruise Gate Hamburg (HafenCity, Steinwerder, Altona) must be arranged through CGH’s Press Office in advance. You must obtain permission first; restrictions apply.

Please note: You must submit a filming application at least 48 hours in advance of your proposed shooting date. Please send your request to presse@cgh.hamburg.de

Filming and photography activities at our cruise terminals are generally permitted in the public areas only. Public areas are terminal buildings (area BEFORE people pass through the security checks), parking areas and access roads accessible to passengers and visitors. No charges apply to news coverage and documentaries. We hope that you understand and accept that we charge a fee for commercial productions and advertising. For filming and photography activities at the berth or onboard cruise ships, a second filming permit must be obtained from the respective shipping company.

For drone operations, prior authorization from the competent aviation authority may be required – particularly within designated geographical UAS areas (e.g. in the port area). Relevant information as well as the option to submit an application can be found at: www.hamburg.de/bwai/drohnen or at Apply for a Drone Flight Permit - Department of Economic Affairs and Innovation - hamburg.de. Depending on the location, flight altitude, and category of the drone operation, an individual case assessment by the competent aviation authority may be necessary. We therefore recommend submitting the application well in advance of the planned operation date.
