"Since being a child I am very interested in ships and the shipping industry – therefore I cannot imagine a better working place than the harbor of Hamburg! After being actively involved in the buildup of Cruise Gate Hamburg GmbH and the construction of the cruise terminal Steinwerder my main objective now is the operation of all cruise terminals in Hamburg. My current position as the link between operational and administrational areas is very interesting and the optimization of different processes for the cruise companies and passengers is the main focus."

"I am delighted to have joined the great team at Cruise Gate Hamburg as project coordinator for our new Cruise Center HafenCity which is currently under construction in Hamburg.

My main tasks will be organizing, coordinating and implementing strategic and operational tasks as part of the steering of the Cruise Center HafenCity project in collaboration with Hamburg Port Authority (HPA).
With more than 30 years of experience in the cruise business, in which I have worked on port and tour operator side as well on the side of cruise lines, I am now pleased to complete my 360° degrees view at our wonderful cruise industry with my new step on port and terminal side!"

"Besides the extensive assistance of our general management my field of activity is characterized by the following tasks: For example the bid proposal management for a lease of our terminal as an event location. There is a high interest regarding our terminal in different industrial branches, for example movie productions or promotional pictures. This leads to a lot of interesting projects with varying contact persons and project-oriented operations. The combination of the above mentioned tasks promises a very communicative und diversified field of work with different requirements."

"I have always had a strong affinity to the harbor and all that is connected to ships, so the opportunity to work at the Cruise Gate Hamburg was a dream come true. Being able to co-ordinate all the regularities connected with the invoicing involved within and around the organization of the Cruise Ships coming into the port of Hamburg and creating an organized environment, supporting the Management and our team as a Management Assistant, and at the same time being part of the vibrating, interesting and internationally accentuated world of cruises, it doesn’t feel like work – because I love what I do."

It’s a lot of fun to work with national and international cruise business partners and assist our managing director. I am also responsible for press-related matters and interview requests put to us, and I make sure that news is available online quickly. Als erfahrener Hamburger Jung mit fundierten Event- & Location-Kenntnissen freue ich mich riesig, ab Mitte April das Team der Cruise Gate Hamburg bei der Vermittlung, Vermarktung, Bespielung sowie Entwicklung neuer Formate der bald 4 Kreuzfahrt-Terminals zu unterstützen. Nach nahezu 20 Jahren Selbstständigkeit mit eigener Agentur und 2-jährigem Engagement als Projektmanager im Bereich Live-Kommunikation bei Hamburg Tourismus bringe ich jede Menge Expertise, Netzwerk und Ausdauer in diese spannende Aufgabe mit. My decades of maritime experience and acquired knowledge at sea and in port, help me support my team and insure procedures run smoothly at the harbour. The north, the sea and the ships - these are the coordinates of my life. I have been working in the cruise industry for more than 10 years and have gained experience in all German cruise ports - from Helgoland to Rügen. I am delighted to be part of the Cruise Gate Hamburg team and to be able to contribute my experience to Germany's most beautiful port.

"The love of the sea and the fascination for cruising probably unites all Chief Terminal Officers in our team - for this reason I feel incredibly comfortable among like-minded people. After my studies in cruise tourism, the desire for adventure was awakened in me - on board a cruise ship I discovered the most fascinating areas of our planet and was able to put the theory I had learned into practice. One topic that was always particularly close to my heart was maritime safety. Therefore, in my field of responsibility at the CGH, I can optimally combine and indulge in both the spheres surrounding `cruise´ and `safety´.”

I got hooked, and for almost 5 years I travelled the seas onboard a cruise ship where I learned and saw a lot of the world.
