Filming and photography

Filming and photography activities at the terminals of Cruise Gate Hamburg (HafenCity, Steinwerder, Altona) must be arranged through CGH’s Press Office in advance. You must obtain permission first; restrictions apply.

Please note: You must submit a filming application at least 48 hours in advance of your proposed shooting date. Please send your request to presse@cgh.hamburg.de

Filming and photography activities at our cruise terminals are generally permitted in the public areas only. Public areas are terminal buildings (area BEFORE people pass through the security checks), parking areas and access roads accessible to passengers and visitors.

No charges apply to news coverage and documentaries. We hope that you understand and accept that we charge a fee for commercial productions and advertising.

For filming and photography activities at the berth or onboard cruise ships a second filming permit must be obtained from the respective shipping company. For drone flights you must submit a filming application to the aviation authority. More information is available at: www.hamburg.de/bwvi/drohnen

News

The port of Hamburg is now officially part of the recently established “Northern European Superyacht Route”, meaning it is a port of call for superyachts heading to the increasingly fashionable cruising destinations in Scandinavia, the Baltic, the fjords and the Arctic region. Kick-off for this project has been the calls of the Yachts "Were Dreams" and „Forever one“ on Monday, 8th July, and Tuesday, 9th July.

Traffic Information for the 2019 IRONMAN Hamburg // Concerns passengers travelling with AIDAaura at the Cruise Center Steinwerder on July 28, 2019

On Sunday, July 28, 2019, the third edition of the IRONMAN Hamburg – a long-distance triathlon – will take place in Hamburg. This means that the athletes will compete on a swim course, a bike course and a subsequent marathon.

Northern European Route launched for superyacht owners

With Amsterdam having been successfully profiled as a destination for superyachts over the past year, HISWA Holland Yachting Group and the Port of Amsterdam are now working hard on the logical next step – a dedicated Northern European Superyacht Route for owners looking to move on from the traditional cruising areas. The city of Hamburg has just signed up to this new initiative and more harbour cities are expected to join the movement for change soon.

MSC Orchestra will berth at Cruise Center STEINWERDER (not at Cruise Center Altona as originally planned) on Tuesday, 14 May 2019.

Please note this change in terminal.

Please find general information regarding your arrival and departure from Cruise Center Steinwerder here
