Hamburg (the home of Seatrade Europe) is the hub for cruise in Northern Europe with major shipyards and cruise lines in its vicinity, and at its centre is Cruise Gate Hamburg.

In this case study you will find out more about the port's growth (73% in the last 3 years) and it's approach to sustainable cruise tourism.

Although extremely successful with port growth, it still has many more goals and ambitions for 2019, including:

  • A new urban terminal in the City center
  • Relocating the cruise ship calls whilst new terminal is being built
  • Sustainable cruise tourism in Hamburg
