From May 8 to 10, 2026 (Friday to Sunday), Hamburg will once again celebrate the largest port festival in the world.
Around one million people from Hamburg and across the globe are expected to attend the 837th HAMBURG PORT ANNIVERSARY along the River Elbe – from the Fish Auction Hall and the St. Pauli Landungsbrücken to the historic Speicherstadt, Sandtorhafen, and the Oevelgönne Museum Harbour.
This year, visitors can once again look forward to a diverse and exciting program, as well as plenty of shipspotting highlights on the Elbe. These include the grand arrival and departure parades, the unique tugboat ballet, several evening shows, and spectacular fireworks displays.
During the festival weekend, Cruise Gate Hamburg (CGH) will welcome seven cruise ships, including one river cruise ship, at its cruise terminals.
Don’t miss the highlight “Elbe in Concert” and the fireworks on Saturday evening with the cruise ship AIDAperla joining as a special guest – The floating stage on the Elbe in front of the Landungsbrücken is the artistic centerpiece of the HAMBURG PORT ANNIVERSARY. “Elbe in Concert” delights guests with captivating live music and impressive performances, creating a unique atmosphere against the backdrop of the nighttime harbor skyline.
Live music and staged performances will set the mood on Friday from 8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 PM. On Saturday evening, visitors can look forward to an international live show featuring spectacular music acts and performances – with the cruise ship AIDAperla joining as a special guest.
The evening reaches its grand finale at 10:45 PM, when a breathtaking fireworks display transforms the harbor sky into a sparkling spectacle. In perfect harmony, lights and music come together to create a truly unforgettable moment that will stay with guests long after the event.
