Hamburg, 12 September 2016 – 2016 was a record year for the Hamburg cruise market: Cruise Gate Hamburg (CGH) recorded 170 cruise ship visits (2015: 153 calls) and more than 700,000 passengers (2015: 520,000 passengers). Since the beginning of this year CGH has been operating all three of Hamburg’s cruise centres (Altona, HafenCity and Steinwerder).
According to the (EIU) Global Liveability Ranking, which scores 140 cities on five lifestyle categories, Hamburg is among the top 10 most liveable cities in the world.
