From 8 to 11 April, 11,000 professionals of the cruise industry unite in Miami, USA, at the industry’s most significant worldwide event: Seatrade Cruise Global.
This year, Hamburg has made the most of the occasion to present itself to the international market.
For one, Hamburg has its own booth with eleven exibitors within the "German Pavilion", where the city’s maritime identity can be explored and contacts be made with agents and providers (exhibitors are Cruise Gate Hamburg GmbH, Hamburg Tourismus GmbH, Hamburg Cruise Net e.V. and MTH Marine Technik Hamburg, as well as H.C. Röver Maritime Agency GmbH, MTC Marine Training Center Hamburg, PWL Port Services, Sartori & Berger, Arnecke Siebeth Dabelstein, DFI Dauerflora, Radiopark GmbH & Co. KG).
Moreover, the Hanseatic City used another unique chance to present Hamburg as „Germany´s most exciting waterfront city“ and show the cruise lines why they definitely should put Hamburg on their itinerary.
Each year a destination gets the coveted opportunity to host the „Itinerary Planners Lunch“, where Planners of the leading cruise lines gather. This year, Hamburg was given the honor to use this important platform.
Sacha Rougier, Managing Director of Cruise Gate Hamburg, and Michael Otremba, Managing Director of the Hamburg Tourist Board and Hamburg Marketing, hosted the event – and fully seized the chance to make a lasting impression.
70 Itinerary Planners as well as media representatives, who attended the event - making it the most well attended planners lunch event since it was launched 12 years ago - were reportedly inspired and enthralled by the presentation.
